We need your help now to bring this new resource to middle class families

Pending in the House is H.R. 4391 introduced by Congressman Bill Pascrell (D-NJ), and in the Senate is S.744 introduced by Senators Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Bill Nelson (D-FL), identical bills that will amend the rules for Flexible Spending Accounts for Dependent Care by adding tutoring and test prep to the allowable uses of FSA accounts. Once enacted, working families with FSA accounts can direct up to $5000 each year in pre-tax dollars to reimburse tutoring providers for their services. This can mean up to a 40% discount on services that will heighten demand for services.

By joining the ATC, you will support the advocacy effort that is underway to seek passage of the twin bills as soon as possible. This goal is important to providers of all sizes, big and small. By banding together, the tutoring industry can amplify its voice in our outreach to Congress. ATC members meet with Congressional Representatives and their staff to help educate decision-makers. ATC members also gain special technical information and insight into the FSA process that will enable them to have a quick-start in the eventual marketing to families. The ATC meets weekly to brief members on the progress of the legislation and learn what they can do to help with final passage.
