Special Interest Coalitions

EIA GETS SPECIFIC ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS

EIA's Special Interest Coalitions put you together with other Members to examine common legislative, public affairs or business operation interests in the PreK-12 education industry. New special interests groups are identified based on Member input. Often, the additional services of a coalition require financial investments beyond membership dues.

Currently, there are three special interest groups:

  1. Affordable Tutoring Coalition-to create tax incentives for middle class families to access tutoring
  2. SES Coalition with Tutor Our Children-to preserve and improve tutoring for low-income families under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA)
  3. Coalition for Innovations in Education-to promote public-private sector partnerships in public education using entrepreneurs that bring high-quality and scalable solutions to our Nation’s schools.

In addition to these coalitions, EIA sponsors six (6) public electronic discussions groups that may be accessed through a Yahoo Group. These free list-serves simply require a Yahoo email registration. They are an un-moderated discussion forum. Interested parties are invited to subscribe to any of the Discussion Groups.
